Spanish Banks with the Forrests.

We had a great Sunday with Don, Jess, Josh, Cole and Olivia. We went to Milestones for brunch and then headed down to Spanish Banks for a walk. It was overcast and a bit chilly but near the end the sun finally came out. Cole and Ryan got along like a house on fire.

The logs were a huge source of entertainment...

If we could only get both guys to look at the camera at the same time...

"Oh, Come on Cole looking at the camera is just want they want... Don't you know that if parents want you to do something they want, you should do the polar opposite?"

Buddies for life!

"You do it... No you do it... It's too cold to do it..."

Penny for your thoughts?

Two dudes.

"Enough pictures already... our butts are getting cold on this picnic table!"

"Wazzzzzzzzzzzzzzup!

Beautiful Baby Olivia.

Naptime.

Two hot babes.

Ryan up to monkey business amongst the leaves and thorns.

How to keep two toddlers from doing what they're not suppose to be doing... Tell them to "Push!"

Ryan and Cole getting a debriefing about staying out of the way of runners and cyclists... "Remember what I said Cole... Do the opposite."

Greg and Ryan enjoying the ducks.

Quack, quack, quack...

Lunchtime or Naptime?

OK this is how it started... Sun came out, why not have lunch early, say 10:30? Sat Emma down, then Ryan, both happy as clams. I went to the bathroom to fold a bit of laundry and then I looked around the corner to checkup on them...

Watching some Curious George.

Emma seemed genuinely interested in George as well...

Ummm... Bow-tie pasta and butternut squash a bit boring today?

That sleeping position can't be comfortable?!

Ahhh... Fingers are where the comfort is...

Wake me up when it's time for dinner...

Lunchtime at the Wongs.

Ryan ate 1 whole homemade pizza (whole wheat crust, with a ramped up veggie bolognese sauce and tex mex cheddar cheese), then he polished off a whole bowl of spaghetti bolognese with tonnes of grated parmesan. Emma ate butternut squash with garlic buttered spaghetti noodles. She loved it!

Many Milestones!

It's been a week of major milestones for Emma. On the 18th she cut two more teeth giving her a total of six. Four on top and two on the bottom. There are two more bottom ones coming as well.

Emma wants grown up food. She also likes to feed herself. She adores avocado and likes it so much that she even let her Daddy feed it to her on a spoon last night. Her new favourite... She gobbled up about eight organic sweet potato oven fries. She also started drinking water from a sippy cup this week. Last week she starting giving kisses... Big wet open mouthed ones... I forgot how much I loved those from Ryan! She is just way too cute!

Emma has been standing up every now and then for the past two weeks but as of the 22nd she not only started standing up everywhere but she also started crawling. Yesterday she mastered the art of sitting down from the standing position and today she's even trying to get from couch to table and from table to toy. She's determined to catch up to her big brother and fast!

Lunchtime.

Emma loves anything that Ryan eats. But Ryan doesn't necessarily like everything he eats. I got Ryan to eat peas today with his favourite pasta of carrots and chicken tossed with garlic, flat leaf parsley, olive oil and finished with a heavy grating of reggiano. Mmmmmmm... Good!

Sunny day at Granville Island.

First sunny day in weeks... We went down to Granville Island and walked around the seawall, Ryan rode his bike, played at the playground and then we went to Earls for some lunch. Great day!

Started out at Bridges.

Had to hold onto Ryan's hood, Bridges patio was a sheet of ice.

Perfect day for pictures.

Ryan sizing up the cool bumpy boardwalk he was about to ride on...

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Playground fun.

"No, I don't want to go."

Someone didn't want to leave the playground...

Big tears...

A face that makes a parent's heart melt.

Trying to explain why geese eat grass.

Trying to explain to Ryan why there was so much poop on the grass.

Look but please don't touch or chase for that matter.

Give me that thing.

Dad says,"Ryan, are you sleepy?" Ryan says,"No!"
